Wednesday gas prices

Time to compare gasoline prices again. In central Ohio we are at $1.62 a gallon.

Well, they fluctuate all the time . . .today I saw Regular 87 Octane for $1.69/gal Midgrade 89 Octane $1.72/gal and Premium at $1.81

We had a .10 drop today from $1.48 a gallon yesterday to $1.38 a gallon tonight.

and yesterday it was 1.45, was the high. In our town the closer you get to Sam Club and Walmart the cheeper the prices, there it was 1.45 wednesday and 1.35 the day before.

The highest I've seen here so far (and I avoid going there!) is $1.94 for premium and $1.84 for mid.

Funny, I was going to post about this very subject this morning. It is $1.59 here and the guy at the gas station says it is going to get worse. He doesn't know why, just that it is. Here we go again.

Most expensive is $1.84

I paid $1.67 for regular on Monday. However, in Mass. 75 cents of your gas is strictly taxes. Those of you with the lowest prices ($1.25, etc.) don't have as much tax as we do.

A station owner told me one time that if the station gets the gas from the gas company on credit, the then gas company gets to set the price. If the owner pays cash, then he gets a discount and can set the price wherever he wants.

Went up to $1.66 yesterday. I got it for $1.49 on Tuesday. Can't imagine what it will go to (if) when we go to war!!!

regular was $1.47 a gallon..that is up from $1.43 a couple of weeks ago..but holding pretty steady here so far!
