Hi everyone,
I'm getting married on the 30th May 2007 :cheer2: :Pinkbounc
I'm really excited (as you can probubly tell) but it seems so far away i feel like i just have to sit around and wait. Wondering if any of you DB'S or DB2B could let me know your experiences and if theres ANYTHING i can start planning so far in advance? I know i can't do anything with Disney until 1 year in advance but when do you book the rev (i really want Rev Jack Day to do our wedding) and the photographer and videographer? Sorry to everyone if i sound like an impatient brat but i'm so dying to get this wedding show on the road!!!!! :rolleyes1
Any comments are most welcome as usual.
Thanks

look at all the options and try to determine what you want your wedding to be. you can then start to save $money towards those plans. start work on a couple/wedding website, newsletter or other fun project and just enjoy life as it comes.

There are a ton of fun things you can do. First of all these boards seems to maek the time fly by, www.theknot.com is also a fun website. As for photography and videography I would call ASAP after you call Disney. I was lucky enough to get Randy Chapman within 4 months notice :worship: , and he was already booked up for the rest of that week. I stayed busy by planning out some stuff for our honeymoon, I've read the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" and the Passport book. DH2B and I will only have been engaged for 1 year when we do get married, but we were originally planning for a wedding next January. Best of luck!

your best bet is to start saving money now, small unexpected expenses will pop up when you least expect it. There's no harm in going and looking at dresses, I did as soon as I was engaged, and that was over a year ago. I just finally bought my dress a week ago, 4 months before the big event. Another thing is just start making a binder of ideas of flowers, cakes, bridesmaids dresses/tuxes the whole nine yards so that when you sit down with someone to pick stuff out you have an idea of what you want and your not going in there blindly ending up with something you don't really love.

I'm stressing now because mine is now LESS than 4 months away, and I still have to order flowers, a cake, invitiations and my bridesmaids need to come get fitted.

DON'T PROCRASTINATE!! :)

I started planning over a year ago and I started to feel this way at first too. It is hard because there isnt a whole lot to do, but don't forget, you can start planning your honeymoon! That's what I did. You can actually make some priority seatings 2 years in advance. I was really excited to make one for hoop de doo so far in advance.
One good thing is that because you are planning so far ahead, you will be an expert by the time the day actually gets here.
My family thinks I am the Disney guru!

If you already know what vendors you want then I say book them - I know for sure that all the outside vendors I had (Randy Chapman, STVS & Charming Events) take bookings 2 years out.

You could also get a preliminary newsletter out to those guests you know you are going to invite this way it will let them know of your intentions to marry and where and if they're gonna be there they can perhaps start saving too for the trip.
