Wedding this weekend

Ok so we have a wedding to attend this weekend and another the last weekend of the month, so last night my fiancé volunteered to go with me to find something to wear to these events. He has this odd twisted joy in making me play dress up since he knows I hate it so. Anyway, the good news is everything I tried on was way too big, the bad news is, it is all hideous regardless of the size! I mean really, I can tell you why we are in a recession, the clothes are so ugly no one is spending money on them!

So off to a different mall tonight to try on all sorts of new ugliness. Have you seen any flirty little spring dresses anywhere that don't belong on a clown??

Second, I so agree. I hate the styles and cannot find anything in my price range that even remotely is a nice spring/summer look. Ugh

for your new size!! That's got to feel good!! As for me, I don't do dresses often, precisely because of the reasons you mention. I do like some vintage clothes, though, which seem to fit my body better. You know, the periods where women were supposed to look like women!

So funny - I was getting a haircut last night and we were talking about shopping and how everything is really not worth the "shop" time or money

No real suggestions - haven't been shopping in some time but did want to say CONGRATS - on all your hard work to get to that new size!

I found a dress! And it is a size 12 no less! And I found these sandal heels that match the color of the dress perfectly. Not sure how long I will be able to wear the shoes, but at least they will look good for pictures! I always carry ballet slippers to weddings anyway since I like to dance and I am not good in heels to start let alone feet getting tired.

I'm saving for a girls trip to Vegas too! Going Nov 1-5 to see Tom Jones and Donny Osmond. My birthdays November 6 so we'll celebrate that too!
