DH and I promised her a pony if she would come yesterday.....well she didn't so she's not getting a pony!

We received the best thank you a few weeks ago. The wedding was a garden party wedding and it had wildflowers as decorations.

The thank you was a hand-made card with wildflower seeds inbedded in it. The card had a thank you note hand-written, then it had instructions on how to plant the thank you card!

and although I haven't set a date I've already purchased 100 Disney thank yous with a Bride and Groom Mickey and Minnie on the front.

I will admit it - I am a thank-you note nazi. I am not afraid to admit that I expect a thank-you when I give gifts and am offended when I don't get one.

I was raised to thank people for everything. They took the time to get me a gift, I could take one minute to thank them for it. When I got married my DH and I split the thank-you's (we had 350 guests). I did my side of the family and he did his. Well, I had mine out in a week and we left for our honeymoon. My dh, however, got none of them done. Man was he surpised when I pulled them out of the suitcase when we got to our hotel and made him sit and write them right then and there. He has never forgotten to write a thank-you since.

I attended 2 weddings of friends late last year, 1 at the beginning of this month for my cousin, and I am attending 1 next week. I received 1 thank you note from the weddings last year. I am not surprised about the one that was never sent. I attended my cousin's bridal shower and received a thank you note from that. I have not received one yet from her wedding. She obviously still has time but I am shocked enough she sent out thanks for the shower. As for the wedding next week, I am pretty sure I will receive a thank you note but only time will tell.

I get flamed like crazy on the knot.com because I didn't send thank you cards the second I received gifts. I am planning on making cards out of a photo of us in front of the Welcome to Vegas sign and include an additional photo. I know I much prefer cards like that as opposed to ones that just have the words "Thank You" on the front.

I have personally acknowledged and thanked everyone who has given us a gift. Hopefully I will have our cards all out by the end of October. My photos from the photographer should be back in two weeks and then I need another week turn around for the cards. So I am getting them out ASAP.
