i left some threads over at the DISign boards but they are not great at responding like us fellow brides are over here :thumbsup2 anyway, how do you get these designs on a T-shirt? There is one of the disney bride ones I like that is on here and also saw it on the DISigns board. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :goodvibes

You purchase iron-on transfers for t-shirts at any local craft store. Print the mirrored image of your choice on it and iron the image on your pre-washed t-shirt. It's super easy. I did 10 of them in about half an hour! :thumbsup2

I think I might make these into custom pins- Does anyone have one for the father of the bride? *(He's the BIGGEST Disney Fan in this family- I'd hate to leave him out!)

I MUST recommend you use http://amymickey.com/ironontransfer_page.html for your transfers. They are the BEST ones to use and they are so incredible easy to make. The instructions are so easy to follow, even a non-crafty person like myself did it on the first try.

You don't have to reverse the images to use these, too!

When you go into a craft store read the packages and see whether or not the images need to be mirrored/reversed. A lot of the types they sell at Michael's don't require mirroring/reversing. You don't have to do anything but print an image you like onto the paper, with some brands cover it with a sheet of parchment paper (included in the transfer paper package), and iron it onto a t-shirt. It is sooo easy...if you know how to iron clothes you should have no problem doing it. I was surprised how easy it was the first time I made one! I don't have a favorite brand o transfer paper; I usually just buy whatever brand is the cheapeast. The only thing you need to watch is most of the papers are made for ironing on to light colored t-shirts so if you are creating a dark colored shirt be sure to buy that type of paper. I'd also recommend starting out with a design that has a box around it (like the just married one with Mickey and Minne and the wedding pavilion as the backdrop) or basic mouse ears (like the bride one with the tiara) because those are easiest to cut out and transfer.

My newest DIY project has been making bridal party shirts with Swarovski crystal designs.

I found a place online that sells the transfer paper and the crystals for a really good price. But before I ordered, I wanted to do a trial run. So last week I went to Michaels and bought a toolkit that included one sheet of transfer paper and one teeny box of crystals (crystals at Michaels are super-expensive - $5 for 42 crystals) and made a "test shirt" - a little Mickey icon design in clear crystals and applied it to a black shirt. (42 crystals were just enough to make a 2 inch Mickey. It turned out really cute, so I went to that place online and ordered a bunch of supplies, which arrived on Thursday.

I just finished my first full design, although I haven't bought the shirts yet (they'll be black). I'm so excited!

I created the design in Photoshop and then reversed it before printing. I took the backing off the transfer paper and taped it to the printed design "sticky side up". Then I placed the crystals on the sticky paper face-down. When finished, I placed the backing back onto the transfer paper until I'm ready to iron it on to a shirt. I spent about 2 1/2 hours on the design. I've got 5 more shirts to make: Maid of Honor, Matron of Honor, Honorary Bridesmaid, Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom. It's pretty tedious work, so I'll probably do one each week.

Andreah- that looks amazing!:thumbsup2

Which company did you get the transfer paper and stones from?
I went to my AC Moore and Michaels and they had no idea what I meant by transfer paper!

Thank you! I actually purchased my supplies from an eBay store - mpressworkshopcom is the seller. They also have a website www.fbcdesigns.com. The prices are VERY reasonable :thumbsup2

I just got in my order from http://www.mpressworkshop.com/

You're right Andreah, the price and quality is great and thanks for sharing the link! They were really helpful and nice interacting in emails!

I'm psyched to get the tank tops together. I picked up some tops on Sat at Old Navy for 2.00 each! I didn't even know they were having a sale and happened to walk right into it!

Again, thanks- I'm impressed~!:cheer2:
I only hope they come out as good as yours!

Ooooh . . . yay! Please post photos when you're done. I just placed a second order for an extra 10 gross of fuschia sparkles. Once they come in, I'm going to start making the other transfers.

Then I need to figure out which types of shirts to get. We'll be wearing ours in the evening of December 6th, so I'm thinking black sweatshirts. There's a website called blank-shirts.com that seems to have a nice selection.

Just subscribing, so I can remember to save some of these to print for my scrapbook I'm working on at home :goodvibes

Here are a few I had on Photobucket, I think I have more at home too.
