Wedding shows obsession-very odd

I've been married for years (and years). I wasn't one who always planned & dreamed of my wedding day as a little girl. I just wasn't really into it and when I did get married, I still didn't do much planning.

I don't have any children & don't particularly like to go to weddings so I don't understand why all of a sudden I can't get enough of these wedding shows on tv. I love looking at the wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses, I like to see the cake decorating, the transformation of the venues & the flower arrangements. It's weird.

Actually they are the parts I like the least, especially as shown on Bridezillas. I do find it interesting how much planning & money is spent on this one day. Maybe I crave some beauty in my life, love looking at the gorgeous dresses.

I'm the same way. I love to watch "Say Yes to the Dress!" on TLC. I don't want to work as a wedding planner, don't want to work on Saturdays. I just like to look at the pretty dresses and I guess also see the expressions on the ladies when they find that perfect one.

Ok, I like the drama of when brides are freaking out and what the poor store clerks have to deal with also.
