Actual inscribed ring on the outside of the band in a museum in Oxford, England
This ring is from the 1500's.

My DH and I signed this greeting in our many love letters while I was a student there in Oxford and he in Texas (long before we married).
We were going to have our rings inscribed with it one day.

We have been married over ten years now and still haven't done it. I have had to buy him a new band though. He lost the original at Six Flags.

This anniversary idea has inspired me, hopefully he won't loose it. Thanks!

This sounds very similar to how dd's adoption ring is, on the inside is From My Soul, and it is written in Russian (I think) on the outside, "Ot Dushi"

On our band from the courthouse (military, so we Justice of the Peaced it 16 months early) had the typical initials and wedding date.

I joked about getting them inscreibed with "Master" and "Mistress"

I think is so exciting and I love that all of us are intrigued by this and want to help..

So I went to a site about Posey rings, which are sort of like promise rings....my husband gave our daughter one, he actually bought it when we were in London and visited The Globe Theater. They were renovating and recreating this famous Shakespearian theater and this ring was buried among the renovations. They have recreated it and sell it in their gift shop. It says "think of me, God willing." She wears it all the time and on her other hand an antique ring I bought for her....something from both of us..

Mine says "For My Lobster"
If anyone was obsessed with FRIENDS like I was you'll get this.....

In one episode Phoebe says that lobsters mate for life. They hook claws, and that's it. When Ross and Rachel finally get together she says, "he's her lobster!".

DH always called himself my lobster so that's what it says.... Pretty sweet, huh?

Ok so here is the story. . . 10 yrs ago October 11 1996 my husband and I got married, we were too poor to get our rings inscribed, I was thinking is it lame to surprise him for our ten year and get it inscribed? He has a small nick in it and I told him it was bothering me so I wanted to get it fixed, is this lame? Is it a good idea? Any ideas on what to get inscribed? And yes for you 7th heaven fans, I got the idea las night.
I was thinking about something like 2 bodies, 1 heart, or something like that, we have been together since high school.

I was going to give you the 7th Heaven idea, guess I don't need to
