Wedding Planner Assignment

Hey ladies,

So we were just assigned Meri Hurst and Amanda Ingle as our event managers. Any one have experience with them? Is there anything I should be aware of?

We have Vickie Reko as our planner and also Amanda as her assistant. Amanda is great! She responds to every email I send in a matter of hours max. Majority of the time she responds within a few minutes. You won't be disappointed with her.

We just sent our block in how quick did you have the contract, and then a planner?

We received our contract within a week and the planner called us the next day after we received confirmation the contract was accepted by Disney. We haven't heard from our planner since, everything is going through her assistant Amanda and she is great.

I received confirmation of them receiving my contract last Friday and was contacted by my planner today. I got Michelle Wenzler-Dorr with her assistant Sarah Herold.
Anybody know anything about that pair?

I have a funny feeling that's what will happen with us. We'll hear mostly from Amanda. I guess we'll see. We have a phone date next week with Meri.

It's not a funny feeling - it's almost universally true that you will work with your planner's assistant far more than your actual planner net prior to your planning session. You may not get answers to all of your questions before the planning session - you'll hear them say "we can talk about that during your planning session" a lot. You can probably push some and get at least some answers but it can be challenging for brides to wait until the planning session.

Post planning session you should see things start to shift as you review your BEO with your planner more often, but just wanted to prepare you for the pre-PS communication. Don't be discouraged, it's completely normal.

I had Meri and almost always heard directly from her... Only like 2 times did I hear from Amanda. Meri is wonderful!!! She made our planning and wedding day wonderful! I was not fond of Amanda.
