My fiancee and I are planning to get married in France and I would love to take some pictures of us in disneyland in our wedding attire.
We plan to stay in a disney resort for a few days too if that helps.

Would anyone know if this is a possibility or if they have restrictions regarding that?

Hi iheartmypanda and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

You'll not be allowed into the park wearing your wedding outfit. If you let DLP know that you are spending your honeymoon at a Disney hotel then maybe you'll have other nice memories :)

Try to find a perfect picture with the castle
And then use Photoshop.

I'm afraid that's the only way to go if you want them :(

It is a wonder they don't let you. It is such a money spinner in WDW ;)

I read somewhere that they don't do weddings at DLRP as it is hard for non residents to get married in France and its not worth the hassle. I agree though its is a good money earner.

That's right :thumbsup2

Residence requirement and place of marriage

At least one of the contracting parties must have resided in France for forty (40) days continuously prior to the marriage: The "mairie" (city hall) or town where the civil ceremony takes place is dictated by the place of residence. If both of the parties to marriage meet the residence requirement, but resided in different districts, the civil ceremony may take place in either district of residence. The 40-day residence requirement cannot be waived. Unfortunately, this precludes a wedding in Paris in those cases where both parties are only visiting for a short stay here.

thanks for the warm welcome! I will definetly be back!

I appreciate the replies. That's really unfortunate!

Looks like we might be looking at a WDW wedding! They're sooo expensive though!

This and Visa issues make our dream wedding not possible. :sad1:
Oh well, thank God for vow renewals! yay for more weddings! lol.

One of the main reasons that DLRP doesn’t allow this is the safety of the bride.
If you walk through the park in your wedding dress many children will think you’re a princess ore a meet and greet character.

You can get stock in the crowds who like an autograph and in real trouble when the parents find out you’re a fake.

Its quiet common that the last few years Disney figures are beaten up without any reason so they must always be guarded by a cc.

A few years ago friends of us put on their wedding clothes on the toilets in the park and tried to get in front of the castle for pictures.

They really had to be saved by several CM and told it was very frightful and never do it never again.

At WDW, you can't get pictures in the park, unless you're the "lucky" couple. One couple per day is allowed to pay a lot of money in order to get pictures at Fantasyland before the park opens. Your picture session is at 5 or 6 am!

But now that I think of it, I HAVE seen pictures of wedding couples at DLP... You know those bridal magazines where photographers advertise? I have seen DLP wedding pictures in one of those advertisements...

Regarding the safety: Disney had "transportation", the Main Street vehicles, so there is a way to get the bride in a safe way to the castle.

Another option could be a private party in the park after closing times. Renting the whoel park is freaky expensive, but there are cheaper options, like a walking dinner at Plaza Gardens.
On the website, search for the link to "Business", and there you'll find a brochure to all private party options available. Prices are also mentioned.

These pictures are especial made for bride-and wedding magazines by a special crew on a photo shoot.
This shoot takes place with permission and under supervision from Disney.

We witnessed one of these last summer. The section of Fantasyland they were shooting in was sectioned off from the public. The only reason we saw it take place was because I was photographing the Castle and had walked under the drawbridge and round the path ~ and I didn't see much apart from the "bride's" back! ;)

well they have another 15yrs to sort out weddings in DLRP as my 10 yr has her heart set on getting married there:love: with the reception at pizza planet and a ride on BTM for all the guests  and at the moment she is looking at zac efron as the groom:love: I think most of these plans will change by the time she is 25 :rotfl:
