daughter is getting married on DCL MAGIC . she is concerned about the onboard photographer.
I really dont want to spend another 5000.00 or more .
what are your experiences?
Unfortunately, the photographers provided by the contractor who runs DCL's photography are about the experience level of Photopass photographers in the parks. You might get lucky and be assigned someone with an artistic eye, but often the quality is just not there. If photos are at all important to your daughter, it will be worth it to invest in bringing her preferred photographer with you on the cruise. She'll also get way more photos and can add things like a Castaway Cay shoot or photos during fireworks night that Shutters won't do. You might even be able to find an Orlando-area wedding photographer who is willing to shoot the event for just the cost of their cruise, especially if they haven't had a chance to shoot a cruise wedding yet.
The ship photographers can be hit or miss, but the nice part is you can usually pick the shots you like instead of buying a giant package. On my cousin’s cruise wedding we leaned on guests a lot, and wedtrove helped since everyone dropped their photos in one spot without losing quality.
