Wedding On Cruise?

I have a friend who has fallen madly in love and wants to get married in a special way and place. He asked about Disney Cruise Weddings. I priced it, $2900 + Cruise, but wonder if anybody out there has done it.
It would take place at Castaway Cay if I read it right. I told him I would try to find out some details from my well informed Disboarders.

Although I don't have any specific info regarding the DCL weddings, I can say that as we were disembarking the ship on Castaway Cay recently, a golf cart drove past us with a bride/groom, and Mickey/Minnie in their formal attrie. So--the wedding definitely can take place at
Castaway Cay.

I second redpants comment. While we were on the March 16th cruise, we also saw the cart with tulle on it and while we were snorkling, I could hear the wedding march playing. There is a covered dock structure just past the family beach. Pretty nice. I am sure it would be worth it.

We too witnessed a wedding taking place on Castaway Cay the last cruise. It's very romantic and special indeed with the ship as your backdrop. We're renewing our vows on the cruise in September.
