I have a friend getting married in another state. I know she is going to Disneyworld for her honeymoon. Combining two households and they aren't asking for gifts. I'd like to do something. Any gift ideas for people going to Disneyworld?

Now this isn't a wedding gift so to speak but this is what My DW got for her 1/2 Sister as her Bridal Shower gift.

They too are going to WDW for their Honeymoon.

We got them a Beach bag (disney world design from Kmart) and in it placed the following:

1 Minnie Mouse Towel
1 Stitch Towel
$50 in Disney dollars
1 Can of OFF w/ Deet
1 Bottle of Sunscreen

And some other stuff that I can't remember now, but you get the Idea.

It wasn't on their list BUT it was the one gift they talked about the most and still talk about it yet. They are going to WDW in late September 2004.

Maybe you could get them something for their arrival?? Bottle of wine for their room, massage? Not sure what you want to spend??? Candy, fruit something like that would be a wonderful surprise. A gift card sent to them with disney money or a gift a card for a restaurant.

When I worked at the Disney Store, 2 of the Cast Members were getting married around the same time and both couples were honeymooning at WDW. We gave them a shower and did money trees with Disney Dollars instead of "real" money.

I had so much fun making them! I used mini christmas trees and folded the Disney Dollars into hearts, strung them on pretty ribbons, and hung them like ornaments. There's a web site with different ideas for folding money into shapes (sorry I don't have the URL at work), and I'm sure you could have lots of fun with that.

Don't forget that Disney Dollars have different characters on the $1, $5, and $10 bills.

Also our male CMs, who didn't come to the shower, chipped in to send bride and groom MM ears to their hotel rooms. If your friend is staying on-site, the front desk at her Resort will gladly help you arrange this, but you will need to know their resort name and their check-in date.

If it's a Disney resort, the Cast Members may even do something special for the couple themselves, so be sure to let them know! When my DH proposed to me at MK many moons ago, the front desk arranged for a complementary bottle of champagne to be in our room when we returned from the park

Have fun!

A couple I knew did their honeymoon at DW and I gave them $50 in Disney Dollars and the book by the Perlmutters...DW for Adults (but any current book would do) then I put handwritten cards throughout the book with romantic places to go and romantic things to do.

They loved it...they took an evening boat ride on Bay Lake from resort to resort (I'm SURE major smooching was involved), they went up for champagne to Arthurs 27 at sunset, they sat on the patio at Atlantic dance....they were really appreciative of the time taken to help to make their special time memorable!

Maybe you can buy them meal vouchers??? They may appreciate a couple of the Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers or a few of the Quick and Casual vouchers. It depends on what kind of honeymoon it is. Is it an allexpense paid Gold Plan honeymoon or a "I just spent all my money on the wedding and I have no money for the honeymoon." If it is the latter, they may especially appreciate the vouchers.

I like the idea of sending the wedding ears to the room. Or maybe sending champagne or candies. They have that chocolate Mickey and the Tuxedo strawberries!

I'm not sure how much it costs and how much you are willing to spend but there is that company that does scavenger hunts and can decorate the room?? I think they are called Gifts of a Lifetime.

Maybe order them a Mickey and Minnie christmas ornament with their names and date engraved? I saw these at the Christmas shop at DTD, maybe you can order those.?
