Hi Everyone!
I am getting married at the Boardwalk resort on October 6th, 2008. I am having trouble figuring out what to do for wedding favors. We only have ten guests so I want to do something really special but I can't find anything that really stands out.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I was going to do ornamenst since we have s Dec wedding but decided to donate to American Cancer Society in lieu of a favor.

Ask your floral/decor person! We hadn't even thought about favors but Rose suggested mickey head wine stoppers which is perfect for us as we A) love wine and B) have a special vintage that we consider "ours" since my DF proposed to me over it.

If it hadn't been for Rose, we never would have thought of this on our own!!

I too had a small wedding.... about 20 in total with 5 kids.

I am not sure how much you are looking to spend, but this is what I did.

For the women we got these carriages to go with the Cinderella theme... the pumpkin is hinged and will hold a few rings or a necklace..... here is a picture. Although, the one I got had orange crystals all over it this one doesn't but you get the idea. I believe this one runs about $45.

For the men we did Mickey Mouse Pocket Watches and had them monogramed with Walt Disney World 2004, I believe these were about $50 at the time on Disney's website..... although I don't see them there now... but a nice wrist watch would do nice as well!

For the kids, I put together bags. I purchased Disney TShirts at the Disney Store at home (much cheaper) had Disney name badges made up and put in an autograph book for the characters... each bag was about $25.

We wanted to give everyone something that would be either used or displayed so they could remember the day! :lovestruc

I of course made sure to order a pumpkin carriage for myself and a pocket watch for DH!!!

I guess it all boils down to how much you want to spend.... as this will narrow down your search....

We gave everyone their own personalized mouse ears - great if you have a small group, cuz they really add up!

Since you are having your wedding at the boardwalk, maybe you could find a Disney themed container of some sort and fill it with salt water taffy.

Not sure if it will fit into anything you're doing, but Swarovski has an annual Christmas ornament each year that says the year on it. It's a beautiful clear crystal ornament. They alternate star, snowflake each year, and I think this year is a star. It will say 2008, and is will be unavailable come the beginning of 2009, so it's a great way to remember a special year. It should be available on their website or at their retail stores if you have one locally.

Because the majority of our guests would be coming from Oz, we're looking into buying them each a week at WDW. It's an expensive favour compared to all the ones I've ever received, but we really want all our friends and family there, so it's a little extra enticement.

One favour that I received at a wedding and loved though was a little jar of rock candy. It had the bride and grooms names made into it, and it was really yummy!

A little fairy tale magic (or at least the wonders of modern technology!) makes this special favor one of our absolute favorites! Giving this favor to your guests is like giving them a series of delightful moments. There's the moment when they first pick up their favor, and marvel at the tiny handpainted flower pot, presented in a silver showcase box and tied with a sheer white organza ribbon. Then there's the moment when - following the directions printed on the box - they have fun planting the cute little bean in it’s included soil. A week later, they experience the biggest moment of all when the tiny little sprout emerges from the soil, sweetly proclaiming "Love" - right on the sprout itself!! This favor is truly amazing! Elegant, organic and utterly unique. Pot measures 2 inches tall by 2 inches wide.
