OMG! The bids are up to $17,100! Could you imagine how much he would get had he sold the engagement ring? Wow!!

If you click on the number of bids and scroll down about 3/4 of the way down, you'll notice quite a few bid retractions either by the bidder or by Ebay Admin ..... makes you wonder whether some of these people are serious or not .... Andy

i was flippping through the tv channels....he was just on the today show..i only caught a few seconds, but he was in the dress...said hes going to have a website up later today...i think he said it would be theweddingdressguy.com...

I just checked it an it is over $1 mill... the person had high # of feedback but all previous purchases were under $100. (most $10-$20 range) Makes you wonder if someone has hacked into EBAY and is using people's bidder names to do bids???

Can you imagine the mess this will be? Tons of canceled bids....... At over 2 million $ Ebay may just close it and he'll have to start over.

Well, it was up to like 2 million, and now it's back to 25,000. That, though not reasonable in any sense, seems more feesable. I wonder if someone hacked? What a mess!

If you click on the link to see the bidding history, the retractions run down the whole page. Some have lame excuses, but most were retracted by eBay.

Wow....Ebay extended the time of auction on the dress....it was about 8 hours to go, now it's 1 day 7 hours .... Andy

It went down to $19K now. at the bottom of the auction in red..he added

"Because of the high profile of this item, I am changing the listing to Pre-Approved Bidders Only. To be pre-approved, please contact me at horseplaypublishing@hotmail.com and include "Serious Bidder" in the subject line of the email and I will return your email to pre-approve your bidding on the auction. Thank you for your interest"

Good for him. I don't know if it is a hoax or what...but I don't care, it made my day Besides, he is a creative writer, I hope he gets tickets/beer out of this at least. The way this is going, they'll probably be interviewing the buyer of the dress too.
