Wedding day timetable - is it unrealistic?

Now that our wedding planning has begun I'm afraid I will be asking A LOT of questions....and here's another!!

We need a bit of assistance with our time line please. We will be having an Escape wedding and would like the 5pm ceremony at the WP. We are then thinking about having dinner in either the Key West Room or the private room in Citricos and would love to finish the day with a DP in Epcot. Is this too much to pack in, are we being unrealistic? I suppose the alternative is to have a 2.30pm ceremony but we thought we may end up with a bit too much time on our hands?

I think you would have to go with 2:30pm ceremony, I think the 5pm will be cutting it too short, with a full dinner, especially as you will be travelling across to Epcot?

If you have a little gap before your dinner you could always have a couple of drinks in Mizners at the Grand Floridian before dinner?

A 5 pm ceremony might cut it close only because your dinner wouldn't be scheduled until around 8 or so? The ceremony itself would last until 6:30 pm, then you'd probably want to do pictures with your new hubby while your guests either enjoy a cocktail hour or do something else. That's how we're doing it at least. If you do a "first look" you could move dinner up earlier because you wouldn't need that time for bride/groom pics.

I recommend the 2:30 pm ceremony with a cocktail hour at Mizner's. That's what we're doing :goodvibes

We had a 2:30 Escape ceremony and our dinner at California Grill was planned for 6:30. I thought this was going to be a horribly long gap and my guests would be bored, but to get the Sonoma Room at CG we had to take that time slot.

It turns out it was perfect timing. It gave my DH and I plenty of time for pictures with our families/friends and then alone without being rushed, and our guests had a great time recounting some of the ceremony silliness over some drinks and snacks at The Wave for about an hour. All that being said, by the time DH and I were done with pictures we only had about 25 minutes to run to our room (at the Contemporary) to grab the favors, freshen up and take a deep breath. There's no way the day would have been enjoyable if we'd had a 5:00 ceremony with dinner and a DP. You will feel rushed at everyone turn.
