Wedding cake process?

Can anyone tell me how the cake process works?

We're having our reception at The Attic so we're getting Board Walk Bakery to do our cake correct?

Are we allowed to hand them sketches of our cake?

Also when cake tasting at Franks, are those general cake samples?

If so, I won't be tasting Boardwalk Bakery cake correct?

Can anyone tell me how the cake process works?

Your cake is ordered through your wedding planner. You can submit sketches, photos, etc. and flavor selections through him/her, usually at your planning session. S/he will be your liaison with the bakery, getting pricing quotes and communicating your choices.

No, Wishes wedding cakes are all made by the Grand Floridian bakery, no matter where the event takes place. Only Escape events at Sea Breeze Point have cakes made by BoardWalk Bakery.

Also when cake tasting at Franks, are those general cake samples? If so, I won't be tasting Boardwalk Bakery cake correct?

All Disney cakes taste the same because they are made from the same recipes. So even if your cake were to be made by BoardWalk Bakery, it would taste just like the Grand Floridan Bakery samples you tried at your planning session. In your case, the samples and cake will be made by the Grand Floridian.

For some stupid reason I could have sworn cakes were by location. Maybe I was thinking about the non wedding cakes from the podium. *shrugs* With that said, thank you so very much. =)
