Wedding Anniversary - Does WDW do anything special?

Definitely tell the CM when you book, and when you check in. It also helps to make up buttons/t-shirts so that CMs throughout your stay will take note and do something special. Don't forget to get their names and give those that give you special treatment their due recognition!

We stayed at the Beach Club for our Honeymoon, and we've gone back on every anniversary, and I can't tell you the number of nice things they do! We've been lucky enough to have stayed at BWV every time since our 'moon, and we've gotten to know some of the CMs there, and at a few of our favorite restaurants/places. It really makes the experience so much more special, particularly as the kids have been coming along!

It really depends on the cast members you interact with. When I worked there, Disney "empowered" the CM's to do special small things and give away freebies. You couldn't get out of hand, of course, but that's the trademark Disney magic that we all go there for. Some CM's took advantage (I know I did - I loved making people's day!!) but some just don't think about it. Mention it as much as you can, but don't assume anything. That way, you won't be disappointed if it doesn't (randomly) happen to you. But I hope it does!!

We got a free upgrade to a 'preferred' room at Pop on our last trip - we had on our reservation that we were celebrating our 15th anniversary. Don't know if we were just lucky to get the upgrade randomly, or not though!

Got great treatment at AKL that trip too - the CM at the desk made sure we got bunkbeds in our room, and had my inlaws in the connecting room with a king bed. We felt like we had our own little suite!
