OK, so trying to see if anyone has had this happen.

I've called Disney and they can't seem to figure it out and put in a ticket.

Here's the issue.

We're bringing our nephew with us on a trip in February to WDW. I've made him a Disney profile, added him to our DVC reservation, purchased his park ticket. I've then tried to purchase a magic band for him which isn't working. The moment I go to "checkout" I get the spinning circle and nothing happens.

I've tried mobile phone, pc with three different browsers. I've cleared cache and cookies, I've tried incognito and private browsing.

Same result every time. I've verified he's in friends and family, I've verified I can make plans for him.

Anyone ever had this happen?

Did you move/have a different address on file? I tried to buy something from the Disney Store and even though. my address was correct on MDE, they still had an old address listed and it wouldn't let me check out. I had a call in to customer service and they escalated it up on their in. I just happened to be in my disney store account and noticed it was still with the old address. Once I figured that out, I was good to go.

I vaguely remember that we had to buy Magic Bands for everyone in the group at the same time.

I thought about that. We invited my nephew after the fact, however it does show him available for a band. As we're dvc we have bands already so didn't need to order any others

But did you actually Decline to purchase MBs for yourselves when trying to place the order for him? There’s a box to check. Or, if you ordered MBs for yourselves based on that specific resort reservation, before you added him, I’m not sure that it will let you order for him now. It seems the system allows for one and only one MB order per resort reservation, and every person on the reservation has to either order a MB or check the box to decline a MB.

I don’t think this is correct. In our last visit in Aug, my mom wanted a specific MB and I didn’t want any so I only ordered a MB and declined my MB. I figured if I changed my mind and found one I liked lat r, I’d get it through my AP.

I believe what @CarolynFH said is correct. I’m not sure that you are saying anything different from her?

Only one order can be made and each person on the reservation either needs to select a MB or, select ‘decline’.

I think you’re both saying the same thing are you not?

Pretty sure that is incorrect

I declined magic bands for the rest of the party. Actually did check the box and confirmed that I am declining. Then went to order him one, it wouldn't allow it. Then I ordered one for each of my in-laws. No problem it ordered them and this was AFTER declining for the rest of us.

then, just to check, I went back into me and tried to order another and it let me go to check out. no problem. However, when I do for my nephew it gets stuck and wont go to the check out screen.

So, that confirms that you don't have to do it all at one time. I declined, then went and ordered two for other friends and family, all on the same reservation. then went back again, went through ordering me another (after I had already declined) and then it still wouldn't let me select my nephew to go to check out. I can customize it, it shows me the entire screens and confirms, just wont take me to checkout.

Wow, sounds like it really is a problem with his profile then, if it let you order for others but not him at the same time. I hope they can fix it for you.

I think you need to call Disney IT to try to resolve your challenge as everything that has worked for others appears not to be working for you.

I would recommend calling 1-407-939-4357 and see if they can help you.

I've done it twice. Then they sent me to another number. Still no idea. Lol

What I did was I found a magic band we had which was unassigned, I was able to assign it to him no problem. I can get him another later if he needs

Just a heads up that if that MB was ever assigned to another person, he will not be able to use it. MBs cannot be assigned to a new person without IT intervention and it's something they don't normally do. If it was a brand new, purchased MB that nobody had ever used then he'll be just fine.

Yes I'm aware😊

It was unassigned. Bought it on last trip, forgot we had it
