Website issues

to be clear, last night the issue was not DVC, it was AWS. Many, many, many sites and services were affected (and some still are) last night.
Canvas (the learning management system that is used by many many universities) is still wonky as of noon EDT, for example.

Well, I certainly agree that Disney IT is frustrating all too often....but this time, they get a gold star....I, too, am stalking for a missing night on a May reservation, so have been checking availability (so far w/out success, but I still have 6+ months) very frequently....and Disney's site was back up and operating normally hours before several other sites were (my bank, amazon, my investment account site among others)....so credit where credit is due--Disney IT beat out many others in recovering from the AWS debacle!

AWS today = Ain’t Working Services

In another couple of weeks I'll give a lecture on Dynamo (the system that was reportedly borked) and I'm hoping I get some inside dirt before then...
