Since your in 2009 UY right now, you'd get 2009 points anyway for a add on. When I've added on in Dec in the past I was prorated dues from the day we purchased to Dec 31 (so just a few days worth). So the special isn't that special.

That's what I thought. . . . . Bummer. . . . .

I still love DVC!

The specials are the same they were last week. Not worth my time to call. Actually, I'm disappointed with the "extra special" offer! They were no different than what was offered last week!! Am I wrong????

One nice thing is you get '09 points. However, they mentioned that you do not have to pay dues on '09 points until going forward. Is that really a special, or is that a "legal" thing they pass off as a "special"?

I don't think it was anything special - - dues are pro-rated based on when purchase is made.

I signed on late (slipped my mind) but I thought they said they would just concentrate on AKV. This is what they've done for other webcasts - concentrated on one property and the discounts but discounts have been available for other current properties. It sounds as if EdTreo called his guide and was told VGC was the same price. I'd guess SSR would be as well.

I would not expect BLT to be the same though.

With a little eye strain I thought the terms & conditions at the end said the offer would expire Jan 2nd - but the reading of tiny print isn't exactly what it used to be either! Maybe someone else saw.

I heard them say you would pay the two weeks worth of dues for your add on. That's normal practice.

Gotta add - and maybe I missed something since I signed on late - but I was SO happy not to see DeeVeeSee!!! I don't know why we got stuck with her for the VGC grand opening.

That depends how much points you're getting.

Just talked to my guide. BLT is normal $5 discount for 50-99 pts. 100 pts is $7 discount. Not sure increments after that. I didnt ask.

No mention of this at all in the webcast I watched!

The webcast did say there was a $15 point discount off, but did not say how many points you had to buy. Starting with 100 points they were specific. Has anyone confirmed that the $15 off per point begins with a 50 point add on or per chance could it possibly be for 25 points?

And as far as the litho, DVC has all of our addresses since we had to register for the webcast and they should just mail our "gift" to us.

We were surprised that no incentives were mentioned for either BLT or VGC since both resorts were mentioned in the webcast.

There was no mention of "specials" outside of AKV on my webcast. I am also glad not to see Deevy See.

As I mentioned in a previous thread that was moved, the webcast is pre-recorded as far as the incentive announcement. The incentive were decided very late for any video to make it to the webcast. So call your guide or the number listed on the webcast for additional information.

I just got of the phone with my guide and bought 125 pts with $18 discount for GCV so the incentives are good for that resort as well as AKL at a minimum.

Slightly better than the prospectus I received on my tour 2 weeks ago for BLT ($5.00 VPC off of $120 per pt)
