Webbie questions & Blink

Hi everybody!

Well, I did my final cashout from Blink today (going to concentrate on MyPoints instead) for $70 in web certificates. Any bets as to how long it will take me to receive the webbies??

Once I get the webbies, can I just print out the certificates, take them to the Disney Store, and get Disney Dollars, or do I have to get the physical Webcertificate MasterCard first?

I've got about 3 months until I leave for a 16-day tour of WDW, and want all my duckies (and rewards) in a row before I go.

First of all, Blink dosn't send you the certificate, Webcertificate will, and it's really more like a notice by email saying that you've received a gift from Blink or My Points or whoever. There will be a link in the email and from there you'll need to set up an account (if it's your first time) to put your gifts in. I'm assuming you'll have more than one webbie. You don't have to open a new account each time, you just keep adding to it.

Okay, now you have your Webcertificate account with $70 in it. To get your Disney Dollars, you can order the actual Webcertificate Mastercard and use it to purchase your Disney Dollars, but in my oppinion, if I were going to purchase the actual card, I'd just take the card to WDW and use it instead of getting the Disney Dollars.

I have heard of folks taking a printout of thier webcertificate account, explaining the whole thing to the store CM and the CM charging the DD's to the Webcertificate account, but I've never tried it....seems like alot of hassle to me....and a potential embarrasment if the CM dosn't understand and thinks you're trying to rip them off.LOL But, if you know one of the CM's at your Disney Store or they're used to seeing you in the store or whatever, it might not be so bad as I'm imagining it to be.\

I hate to admit this but, I thought about calling the Disney Store and telling them I wanted to give my DD some Disney Dollars to take to WDW, but was bedridden and couldn't come to the store in person. Ask if I could buy some on my credit card and let DD pick them up at the store. That way I could do the transaction over the phone without the actual card.

What I did with my Webcertificates, is purchase things for my trip with it over the web. I used it to purchase our MNSSHP tickets, bought a pair of Birkenstock sandals that I was going to have to buy before trip anyway (plus, I when through Milesource and earned points doing it), I used it for the credit card deposit on the Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast & some other stuff I can't remember. I've only got 72 cents in my account now.

Anyway, that's about all I know about the Webcertificate and Disney Dollars.

taken the printout to TDS to buy $dd actually 4 times to be exact and only once did the CM say she needed the plastic card to run it through so I just went to another DS and got them with no problem I like having the $DD instead of just leaving the money on the card I'm just afraid something will happen like the site goes out of business or something like that this way as least I know I have my $DD dumb I know but thats how I feel.

Steve, I have the plastic card, & will have it with me at DIS=CON! Unfortunately, I've been pretty lazy doing rewards lately, so I won't have much $$$ on it, but every little bit helps.
