Hi

We are trying to work out when the better time to visit Disney world Orlando from the UK.

It's going to be a once one a lifetime holiday as we won't be able to afford it again but it has to be during the kids school holidays.

Our choices would be the 2 weeks over Christmas into new year or the 2 week Easter holidays during April.

My preference would be Christmas so the kids can experience how magical Orlando is at Christmas but I'd like them to be able to walk about in tshirt and shorts and use the swimming pools

Does anyone have any advice on what would be best

Thank you

Andrea

The weather is tricky, December can be anywhere from 30's-80's. It varies a lot. However, it's a great time to be at the parks, everything is so beautiful.
Both dates you listed will be very very busy. April is nice weather wise, usually 80's-90's and Flower and Garden festival will be happening.
But, there is nothing like Christmas time at Disney, it is extra magical.

The Dec we went it was very cold. We needed coats, it was over Christmas and New Years. It is also very crowded over the holidays. Very. To ensure you are able to do all the things you would like, I would go for April. The weather is more predictable, the crowds are better, more options. It's a nice time of year in FL. The Christmas decor is very cool but, for the kids, it didn't make up for the loss of pool time or lines for the bathrooms and attractions.

I would go in April myself the weather is better. December can be iffy weather wise. Then again any thing below 70 is cold to me. I live the south.

Thank you so much for your replies. I think we are going to aim for April as the pool time will be important for the kids. Especially as they want to go to discovery cove

Thanks again x

April will be your best best with more consistently good weather than Dec. Won't have to deal with bringing winter coats and more heavy layering clothing.

Just a Reminder.. Easter Monday 2015 is on April 6th

Easter Monday 2016 is on March 28th

The Time Change + 1hr in USA will also be around March 15th

About 2 weeks BEFORE UK

While Christmas is a great time to be in Orlando .... the daylight

is short & the weather could be cool so Pool swimming might not be

welcome by the children., even with pool heating .

Go in Easter Time .
