Hi, I'm going to wdw in the second week of June. What kind of weather can I expect, I've heard there's plenty of thunder storms is that true? Plus I'm flying from Manchester, does anyone know how busy these flights usually get in June, is it a popular time for Brits to travel to Orlando? I'm hoping to have plenty of room to stretch out lol, :yay:

Any info would be appreciated.

Temperatures in the 80's and 90's. Cumulus clouds start building late morning and thunderstorms are typical (but not guaranteed) by late afternoon and early evening - but they pass.

you forgot to mention the hellish humidity...
humidity is synonymous with orlando.... :)

basically 100% humidity with 80/90 degree temperatures....

and the thunderstorms don't break the humidity!

actually, i think orlando could be hell if not for disney world!

but having said that, it's still fun!!! and there are ways to deal with the heat..

HOT HOT HOT
It has very high humidity and that makes the temp feel 10 degrees hotter. The thunder storms tend to go pretty quickly and what seems like minutes the ground is dry again!
My advise is do all you can in the mornings and late evenings and get out of the parks during the middle part of the day!
When the door of the plane opens in Orlando you really do get hit with a wall of heat. What could never get over was in the evenings when we were going back to the parks, we left the hotel and its wonderful AC and it was still mega hot..
Sorry if that makes it sound like hell but people deal with heat in different ways, others, including me, will never go back at this time of the year, others will have no problem with the heat..either way I am sure you will have a fan daby dozy time...:)

I'm hoping the UK stays this hot for the next 7 days so we can start to get acclimatised!! We have planned afternoon hotel breaks on all the days we're not at the water parks.

Eeeek I'm there from 30th June for 2 weeks and I have to be honest, I'm a little bit scared

The weather is usually perfect and beautiful in October, gorgeous temperatures and not too humid! For various reasons and for the first time ever for us, July was our only option, it was either another destination or just deal with it and go back to Florida...........Florida always wins!

I'm preparing to be very hot and will be looking for some magicool to take! :cool2:

You may need to buy the entire stock of magicool from boots, one can lasts about 2 days!!!! Lol ;)

Like you we normally go later in the year in November..it was a total shock when we went in the June one time. It is managable tho, the AC is cranked up to max everywhere and you just make sure you go for frequent drinks in the ac to get your body cooled down. They sell those water spray fans everywhere (don't pay WDW prices tho) and that was a blessing...you also need to drink way more then you would normally..remember to wear open sandal type shoes if possible because the temp inside a trainer is off the scale:laughing: Tbh, if it had been the first time we had ever gone I am not sure we would have ever gone back again! I just don't do heat, well not that sort with the humidity factor added to it. I felt like I'd wet my knickers all the time.....(I know too much info) LOL

Ok thanks

We always used to go in late May and Early June and found the temperature just about right, if a bit muggy ...but then we do handle the heat okay.

The first time we went in mid-august the temp hit 100 degrees nearly every day and hardly any rain. It was just ridiculously hot! (but we are still going back at the same time!)
