Ok we leave tomorrow (Thursday the 26Mar) to drive from Michigan to Sunny Florida but.... the weather.com keeps showing thunderstorms and rain for at least 3 of our 5 days? Could anyone local give me a good indicator if we will have many gray days? We can handle Universal in the rain I guess. Not as fun but doable. What I was looking forward to was the down time by the pool. I want to bask in the sunshine after a LONG COLD SUNLESS winter up north! Thanks for any info good or bad! Weather .com is never as good as the local weather man.

Here's a link to the local forecast which I would believe more than weather.com. As you can see...there is only a 20% of rain this weekend and again next Tuesday/Wednesday. The forecast changes all the time so nothing is written in stone but this is a better guide for you. The weather should be beautiful from now on.

Don't worry according to Yahoo Thurs thru Sat Sun and clouds, temps from 84 to 90 degrees. The parks are fine with a spring rain. Pack a poncho from a dollar store because the poncho's in WDW are $9 each. It's always good to be prepared. You can also buy one in Fl. they have inexpensive ones. Have a good trip and enjoy the sun.:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Is the humidity picking up? I ask because of the thunderstorms in the forecast, seems they tend to come together.

I've never been to FL at this time of year, so is it as humid now as in summer/fall?

No, its not as humid now as it is in the summer.

Although it is not the rainy season yet, when in Florida during the spring/summer, plan for high 80's to low 90's with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. With this knowledge, you are equally as smart as our weathermen/women.

Thanks MattM for the quick reply. Looks like next week is shaping up to be nice, highs in the 80s.

You're welcome. And yes, next week looks to be nice as of now. Hope it stays that way for y'all.

I haven't felt any humidity so far...this week has been beautiful.

The weather kept saying one definite day of rain for our trip every time I looked on weather.com . By the time we left, it was showing a pretty good chance of rain for three of the days. We never saw a drop. Clouds part of the time, which were actually a nice break when the temps were in the mid-80s.

Weather prediction is not an exact science. Just have some plans for rainy days and enjoy your trip.
