Today accuweather says "clouds and sun; warm;humid" for Friday, May 28th. Let's keep our fingers crossed!!!!

Last year we had planned a trip for this weekend (not WDW) and then canceled. Good thing, since it rained the WHOLE weekend.

Oh I am watching it too!! We will be there from May 27th-June5th....

I'm not like most people who grin and bare it when it comes to rain. I don't mind the daily thundershower but when it rains ALL DAY long I get depressed...

Gee, we arrive on the 28th too!;) I don't let the weather stop me. (Well, I don't like lightning...)

You guys have fun!:wave2:

the next 10 days down there look perfect

hopefully it will stay that way for the following 10

I agree! I hope we have fabulous weather! It will be our first time to WDW during warm weather -- we've always gone in December and January.

Someone brought up a very good point about the lightning. At that time of year in FL, lightning strikes are common (I mean people getting struck!)

Let's think up some good alternatives, if it should happen to be a wash out...

movies at DTD

the mall (ugh)
make some PS's at the resorts

Hi,

I'm glad the weather looks alright!!! We will be there from the 26th to 30th. I don't mind showers or thunder, just lightening!!

Somewhere on the board, I have a thread (or 2) going for May / June DISers. My idea is a contest to see who can spot the most DISers while at WDW. So far I have about 60-something names (and the dates they'll be at WDW) on my list of DISers who will be there when I am (5/22- 6/4). I just added you guys!

Stiff, what are your dates?

I'm hoping the weather holds up for my trip too...I'll be there May 25-June 5 and although I don't mind the afternoon showers or even 1 rainy day, I'm just not a poncho sort of girl...Rain (in WDW or NJ) makes me sad!

Cute idea! I'll make a printout of your list!

We were there last Memorial Day weekend and I don't remember any rain.... certainly not any that spolied a day of the trip. The only thing I can think of is some rain on Thursday morning. Other than that... weather was great :-)

I'll be there from the 1st to the 8th, look for me! I should be pretty easy to spot with both the DIS stroller (from the budget board swap) and one of the DIS swap Pal Mickey's. I do hope for good weather, I have had enough rain this spring for a lifetime (okay, not really, it just feels like that).

I guess we've learned never to guess what the weather will be like here in Florida!
We have had a gorgeous spring so far, haven't we Susy?
It's been hotter in Orlando than it has been down here, but we haven't had much humidity or any storms in South Florida.
I am so NEEDY of a DW escape, I am not even thinking about the weather.
I just can't believe how LONG this month is!!

I don't really trust forecasts, especially so far in advance, but I hope that the nice weather continues and everyone has a great Disney vacation!

I have to add a special DW memory here...
It was probably 1986, in the summer. We were driving towards the entrance towards the MK.
The Magic Kingdom was surrounded by the most amazing lightening flashes you have ever seen!
It was really a sight to see. It was like a special Disney special effects show.
The wind had picked up and it seemed we were in for a rough night.
But..NO! ;)
By the time we got in there...the storm had blown away, many people had left the park, the temperature had dropped a few degrees, there was a nice balmy breeze and it was a gorgeous night in the Magic Kingdom!

On another note, we have had some great times at DW during some major thunderstorms.
We've gotten soaked through and through, and it can be a little scary dodging those lightening strikes!
But it's all a good time just the same!

Have fun everyone!

:sunny:

We are leaving in about 10 days and I will be watching the weather closely. 7 day local forecast calls for high's around 90 and little to no rain......... Humidity is starting to climb a little, but nothing like mid-June through August.

We'll be there in 11 days! I'm really hoping for good weather for the 10 days we'll be there!:sunny: :wave2:

Funny I was just laying in bed last night thinking about how our trip is coming up and thinking about the weather stuff...then I remembered the last time we took a trip to WDW around Memorial day was 2-3 years ago when they had those wildfires!

I was so worried about it because friends were coming back saying the smoke was terrible--so maybe the rain isn't so bad as long as it's not too much and DEFINITELY WITHOUT lightening since that is one of the common starters of those fires to begin with.

But I do agree with Susy, we don't want a weekend of rain, even worse than walking around WDW in the rain...is driving 3 hours home in it!! YUCK!!

Just checked accuweather-all looks good !! And HOT!!!! Stormalong Bay, here I come!!!!!

It is TERRIFYING driving in the big downpours we run into so often on our summertime trips to and from DW!!

It's like driving with a blindfold on, I can't stand it!

I hope everyone has a safe and fun trip!
