Weather the first week of OCT?

what is the weather typically like?

We were there this past Sept 30 thru October 8 and the first 3 days or so of our trip were overcast but warm... very nice. Towards the end of our trip it was sunny and HOT (which is a relative term because we live in Maine and right now it is -9 outside my kitchen window). I would say it was mid 80's ... my dh and ds (6) went back to the hotel in the early afternoon, but my dd (13) and I stayed in The Magic Kingdom until 5 pm or so. We would go this time of year again- we enjoyed it!

We typically went in Oct. and the weather is usually extremely nice. The biginning can be a bit rainy because it's the tail end of the rainy season in Florida and may carry over into October. What we've encountered on the first week was beautiful days then around 4 or 5, it clouds up and starts to rain. You can also get quick rain showers during the day.

We started going the middle of October because of this. Temps are generally in the 80's during the day and 70's at night. We've been going in October for approx. 10 years and had enjoyed the parks in October.

Usually the weather is wonderful. But keep in mind that it's still hurricane season, so the weather is subject to change. We try to make our October visits closer to the end of the month.

We have started going late September /early October,because we found that the weather early/mid September was too unpredictable(we had a couple of vacations where it rained 9/10 days out of 14 & not just some showers!) .2001 the weather was excellent for the 3 weeks,2003 the middle week wasn't great but the last week was great,about mid to upper 80's most days,good enough that we're going at roughly the same time again this year!

We have been in October, Sept., Dec, may, june, and are going next week. The best weather has always been when you are going. occasional cool mornings and slight chance of rain in the afternoons but it is short and is not cold or humid afterward.

DH and I have been numerous times in October and really have had beautiful weather for the majority of our trips. We have encountered temps averaging in the mid to high 80s and beautiful nights - most were warm enough to swim. We love October in WDW and are already counting down to our next trip.
