We will be at DL from 11/2 - 11/9 for our first and only trip. We really didn't expect we'd ever go but SW had a sale a few months ago and we got the flights for half price so decided to just do it, even though we had planned to go to WDW that week. I haven't had time to think much about the trip or get excited because of helping my parents (94 and 91) who have both been in the hospital and then rehab. :worried: Our weather has turned cooler here and it got me to wondering about weather that first week of November. I just hope it isn't cold. We want to go to the beach one day also, not to swim but to just say we saw the Pacific Ocean, and to look around the area. So, would someone let me know what the temperatures may be that first week, and is it rainy season, or not? TIA.

It is so hard to predict California weather--as soon as you plan for one thing, it will change to something different;)!

I don't think you need to worry about it being "cold' in any way, shape or form.

I'd plan for warm days(and a possibility of a cooler day here and there),with cooler evenings(once the sun goes down, the temps do fall, and you might want something on your arms).

Take items you can layer, and you should have all the bases covered.

Just know, that even keeping an eye on the forecast consistently, sometimes won't help much with planning--maddening, I know!

The best predictor of the future is the past. This thread gives you an idea of what the averages are:

Forgot to mention that we did hit an unexpected cold front one November, which we were totally unprepared for.

Disneyland got a hefty amount of our money that year, as we ended up buying hoodies and gloves for us all:eek:!

The front was unpredicted(had been watching the forecast faithfully, and had looked at the "averages" for November), and neither would have alerted us to be prepared for that kind of cold of weather.

So, lesson learned, we now take things for what the weather "usually" is during a particular time, but always throw in something for warmer weather, AND something for colder weather--just in case!

It's harder to do this if you're flying in, hence bringing things you can easily layer! Hope that helps!

We have taken trips about that time of year twice, once it was over 100 degrees for a few days, the other time I was glad to have pants and a sweatshirt once the sun went down. Tricky, tricky weather! Lets hope for perfect weather this year (we will be there the 5th and 6th)!
