Weather ... Orlando... October

Hi !!!
We are leaving for Orlando (Disney World) October 18, 2007. What is the weather like mid October? I sure hope we haven't picked a hurricane time. Does it rain a lot in October?

We went in October 2001 and the first two weeks were lovely and warm but the third week was very cool. No rain but just cool - long pants and sleeves during the day and a jacket in the evening.

We now go in September as we prefer the heat to make us think we are on holiday

We have gone in October and it was very nice. That's been quite a while ago. Keep in mind hurricane season runs until the end of November, but they are usually winding down. It is really hard to tell. The seasons are so different.

Just came back from Oct 22-Nov 03. great weather mid 80s but look for it to get chilly on some nights so bring a jacket or sweatshirt.

We have gone the past two years in October. Last year we went the first week and this year it was the third. Both times, it was very warm in the mid to high 80's. This year, it did not rain one time when we were at the parks.

My family used to always go in October just before Halloween. From what I remember, the weather was usually great. It rained once in a while, but overall the weather was rather mild and I remember being comfortable in shorts and t-shirt on most days.

We went the first week in October this year. The weather was in the 80's. It was great weather. It didn't rain at all while we were there. It looked like it might a couple of times, but it didn't. Sometimes we needed a light jacket at night. I think you will enjoy it.

We were there Oct. 8-13 and it was great. The highs was about 84 and low humidity. I would pick Oct. any time. If I go again it will go in Oct.

We went a few years back in Oct. and LOVED the weather. It was perfect during the day and swimming of an evening waw fine as long as you have a warm towel to wrap up in on your way back to the room. The day we left though....it was suppose to frost that night.

We were just there October 7-14 this year and the weather was great. Nice and warm, but NOT too hot. Only got rained on a little bit one morning and that was it. Perfect weather, plus not too crowded. Would definitely do October again.

We were very pleased for Columbus Day weekend this year & following week...some days were near 90, don't think it did more than sprinkle.

We always plan our trip to Orlando during the first couple of weeks in October and the past three years we've been there have had wonderfully warm weather. Since we're from Canada, even the cooler temperatures in Florida during this time are warm to us. The only year we ran into any yucky weather was 2005 when hurricane Wilma hit. We were lucky enough to fly out the day before she hit. Even so, hurricane season doesn't deter us from going each October. We look forward to our annual trip.
