We have a place 20 min from WDW and we've been here since the last week in June. (its our 1st Summer experience - usually only here in Winter).
We have AP's and have been going 3-4 days a week. Our experience has been that we've had the best luck with our morning FP's.
Several of the afternoon/evening rains have lingered longer than the usual 30 -60 minutes. They automatically update your FP's to be used for the rest of that day at a variety of attractions, but our schedules aren't flexible enough to always wait them out (dogs with small bladders
), so we have had to sacrifice a few FP opportunities.
MK is impacted the most by storms because so many of the attractions have outdoor components. When the rain hits, multiple attractions are closed. My best recommendation for MK is to try to load your FP's for the morning.
