hi everyone ,
we're planning our first trip with kids for last week in jan/ first of feb but just wanted to know what the weather is like then? i know that the parks are generally very quiet which is what we want but wanted a true view of the weather.
Cheers Lee

Hi Lee,

To be honest the weather the early months of the year through to March is very unpredictable.
I would expect cool mornings and evenings certainly, I would say you would get most days sunny and average temps maybe low 70s perhaps.
It's difficult to be accurate though.

Been numourous time in Feb half term, I would say the weather is very similar to England in the Summer months, can rain, most days can be pretty warm in the sun, not very warm first thing on a morning or last thing at night.

Agree totally with Johnny :)

I was in Florida at that time this year - end of Jan/first week in Feb - and we had 4 unsettled days with rain and cool temperatures, but the rest of the time was 70s during the day with cool mornings and evenings. OTOH, people we met told us that the weather had been beautiful the week before; in the 80s.

Prepare for all eventualities at that time of year.

we have been that time the last 2 years, in 2006 we went on 28 jan and the weather was lovley and warm and sunny, only one rainy day when there was a small tornado! this year we went on Jan 27th and it was a little cooler, they were talking about a big freeze and it was about 60 - 65!!!! can be unpredictable but the quietness of the parks makes up for it!!!

We have been early January and had temps from freezing point early AM to mid 80's in afternoon, take shorts and Tshirts and also coats and gloves.
If you want to look at Historical weather look at this link, just scroll down a little and you come to History & Almanac. enter any dates from previous years and it will give you an idea of what it was like. Once in there you can look at daily weather, weekly or monthly.
