Hello my fellow Brits. :yay: Just a quick question as per the title. What can I expect from the weather in WDW during 23/09 - 05/10? I put this question on here as us Brits are used to the cold and rain so wanted to see it from the point of view of someone who knows our weather!

I have seen peoples pictures from that time and people are in hoodies and jackets!! Im hoping its nice... :confused3

Can't imagine anyone wearing jackets & hoodies in Sept, we have been late August and its always been hot, too hot for some, been late Oct and never needed a fleece, always great weather. Sept always seems a perfect time to go for weather, hope to try it someday.

Just looked at a random date for temps last year, Sept 28th. High was 34c low thru the night at 24c, thats hotter than our summers.
See if the link works.

We have been twice for those dates and found it perfect. The weather has always been lovely and warm and we only needed hoodies once when we sat waiting one evening for Fantasmic. It just felt a little chilly so we nipped into Mouse gear and bought a couple of tops never to wear them again! :lmao:

We now go later in October due to school hols and we have needed the hoodies more often on an evening but it's still lovely and warm during the day

If we didn't have kids at school we would choose the same weeks you're going as our first choice - low crowds, lovely weather and the Halloween decorations :cool1:

Thanks for the post :thumbsup2 Dont like the look of all the rain clouds though :scared1:

We used to always travel in September and the weather has always been hot, hot, hot!:rotfl2: It can be humid at that time of the year which adds to the heat even more. You sometimes get short, sharp, heavy showers but that usually just makes the temperature better.

Enjoy

The last time we went in September we got hit with hurricane Francis and stuck in our rooms at POR for 3 whole days:scared1: so there is a risk of hurricanes. But they are rare-ish because Orlando is inland and they tend to lose their power inland. We had quite a few days of drizzle (all day) because of Hurricane Francis but it was NEVER cold and by the 2nd week it was back to its glorious self. We are going again this september and hopefully won't be quite so unlucky..:worship:
On the other hand we have been in October and its always been wonderful. :)

I went mid-September last year and it was blazing. A couple of very small showers and one real downpour.
I'm going back the same time this year.

We always went in September, always very hot and humid. Went in October last year, still hot, but no humidity.

All things being equal, next time we can go, we'll go in Sept again. Crowds were lower than October.

Thanks for posting this! We're there between 20/9 and 5/10, our first time in September so we were unsure of what the weather would be like :)

We always go September/October and twice we have been there for those exact weeks.
We have found both times that the weather is really warm during the day, not unbearable though (but can be a little humid) and there can be heavy showers (these normally don't last that long. You can normally see the clouds coming in so have time to find somewhere sheltered, and then as soon as they go the sun comes back and you dry out in no time if you did get wet.

It does cool down in the first week of October, but this is more noticable in the evening where you may have to wear a cardi, but this time rounds I didn't have to.

We love going at this time of year mainly for the weather (and the food and wine festival at the end of the stay :) ). Any sooner and it would probably be to stuffy/hot, any later and it would probably be a little too cool, but thats just our opinion/experience

We were thier last late sep / early oct. It was raining the first night and the last two days but inbetween it was shorts and t-shirts all the way. Didnt notice any humidity tbh, was just nice warm weather.

jackets and hoodies in september????? maybe indoors because of the A/C, but not outdoors...
it's still very hot in september......and october has very nearly perfect weather....hot, but not the 'you think you might melt' heat of the summer...

We always go Sept/Oct and we love the weather....yes we were caught in a huricane once but it only effected one day. We went last year and we only needed a hoodie on an evening we did EMH in Hollywood studios, and it was midnight:)......we also only had rain on one evening....it's a great time to go for weather, crowds and price:thumbsup2

Thanks for all you responses people :thumbsup2

You have set my mind at rest! Im hoping on our rest days then I will be sunbathing and getting a tan :woohoo:

Those people were definitely wearing hoodies :confused3

Im so excited. Im feeling  today so talking to everyone on here has made me :)

We've been a few times in September, when we got married we were there for 6 weeks and it was extremely hot and humid and we had one day of rain in 6 weeks! (that was our wedding day).
Last year we were there from the 25th for 11 nights and found it much cooler (just cooler than we have previously experience) it was even too chilly on 2 evenings to go in the pool at the GF :confused3 we only had rain I think on our last day.

well i would definitely take a jacket/hoodie with me. You never know when it might be chilly - and i always do need something for the A/C.

but i wouldn't plan on needing them every day.

we normaly go around the 25th september for 2 or 3 wks and love it,its hot and the evenings to me are still nice and warm last time we went in 2010 we went around the 19th we found the 1st wk to be actaully a little unbearable the kids kept saying it was too hot luckily we was there for 3 wks and so by the 2 nd wk it was much better for us!
this yr we are going on the 24th september doing Universal and seaworld 1st before heading to the World for 2 wks as theboys have not done Universal since very young and have not done loads of the stuff as they was too small SOOOO i have been a little worried about doing water parks in the 3rd wk and was wondering if i should have done Universal last!!!! that way the hotter weather we would have had for the water parks........this trip is a surprise for our 3 boys even though we have been before they think we cant afford to go until next yr and because hubby is in the RAF our next posting should fingers crossed :worship: be in the states so with that in mind they dont think we will be going bk until we have our posting confimed this xmas which takes them to at least a wait of around a yr and half! (thats way too long for me let alone them):rotfl2: anyways we know that they would like to end their trip at Disney as on our last full day we always run around from park to park doing our fav rides only so without being able to ask them we choose to do it this way!! HOPE I CHOOSE CORRECT

so have people still done the water parks in October?? i know that last time we went to Blizzard beach towards the end of our stay and found it to be too cold to stay that day but if it had been the day after or before it would have been fine it was just cloudy so it didnt help, also i know about the rain as we had a really bad storm in 2010 that lasted 2 days we felt lucky we was at AKL lodge that stay so we had everything under one roof this yr we are at SSR and will worry about being stuck in a villa if it rains endlessly :( other then that the rain has always lasted a very short while and dried up as quick as it came..

We have done the water parks at the begining of October and it's always been warm
