weather in Sept??

We are now planning a trip in Sept. due to the free dining. Can someone with experience please tell me what the temp is then, is it very rainy? Did anyone have any problems with hurricane season last year? Did the parks ever close?
And finally, is there one time during the free dining dates that will be more busy than others?

The free dining came out last year, but many folks said while it was a plus at them planning their trip for that time, for the most part, it was not worth all the other expenses to just get the meals for free. It was well worth the free dining when a friend of mine and I went.

We went last September and loved it so much I am going September 10-16. The weather was great. Somehow I dodged the hurricanes and got nice sunny weather. It was hot, but I am comfortable in saying it was no where near as I hot as I believe it would be in July.

last yr we went the 9th thru the 17th. it was beautiful the entire time we were there! Never rained once! It was hot but not unbearably hot. Never used the sweatshirts I brought. We skipped morning EMH and just did evening's because the crowds were so low. Never stood in a line anywhere for more then 10 min or so. Went to both TL and BB, can't say what the lines for the bigger slides were like, but the kid's and family rides had low lines also. The only problem was I didn't do ADR's. I managed to get a last min at Chef Mickey's at like 8pm and we waited for Biergarten. Other then that we did counter service and food court. We stayed at SOG so we didn't have free dining. This yr we're going the 3rd thru the 10th at POR with free dining.
