Weather in July (7-day Eastern)

Hi everyone!

We are from Eastern Canada ( as far East as it gets!) and we ae wondering about weather in July on 7 day cruises. We have heard "more rain" "cloudy" and of course at the start of hurricane season!!

Our professions limit travel times...summer is our time to go.

As well, is July peak time for travelling on these cruises?

My DH and I have cruised the Magic twice -- both times in July. The Caribbean usually has a year round temp in the 80s. It'll feel hot and humid, but there is a breeze. However, on board the ship you will be comfortable. Only one rain day out of the two cruises. I wouldn't worry about hurricane weather in July even though the official season starts in July. We discussed this issue with some workers on the Trunk Bay excursion in 2001 and were told that St. Thomas has wind and rain for a week or two in September. We'll be on the Wonder in late June-early July this year. Jan

I know this is gonna seem like a funny question - but in the evenings, on board, do the breezes get chilly at all so that you would need drag along a light jacket? I'm a naturally hot person so it will probably feel great to me but my dd gets cold easily. Just wondering.

Hi Chris,

I'll tell you on our 4 night Wonder to Nassau, the weather in the evening was very humid and warm. I never needed a sweater on deck.

However, the theaters were very chilly with the air conditioning. Your DD, if she gets cold easily should have a sweater with her there.

We were on the western this past July. I have a tendency to be cold but never needed a sweater on deck (the breezes are warm). In fact, we would go out on deck to warm up!

We had no rain on the cruise, except for a few sprinkles the morning we docked at Grand Cayman. By the time we disembarked, the sun was shinning. The seas were as smooth as glass the whole time--- perfect.
