Weather in January?

All I know is we've done two trips in Nov and have another planned for next Nov ('05) and the first two trips ('89 and '98) it was in the 80's and actually hit 90 the first trip. So, you just really don't know what the weather will do. I do know you won't have a blizzard in Orlando, unlike most of the country could in Jan. A winter day in Orlando is still wamer than one in the Northeast.

I agree, be prepared for everything! We were there the first week-end in February 2004. Swimming one day (70s) and freezing the next night-- bone chilling cold! This time I am packing mittens and hats to go along with our swimsuits and shorts.

It has been much colder during my trips in early February as compared to my trips in early December.

Take this with a grain of salt; My DH says he read something,somewhere about February will be colder in FLA. this coming year than January.I hope so! Looking forward to some nice weather.Have been twice in Jan. and its been a mixed bag. I'm packing gloves,hats ect... and will be wearing my winter coat in the plane.The only thing that's on my mind is hopefully we dont get snowed in and the plane wont take off on time.

We are going to WDW January 22 - 30. I am sure whatever the temperature in FL it will definitely be warmer than Minnesota in January! Minnesota gives a new meaning to the word "cold." They should call it Minnecolder!

People in Minnesota have adjusted to the cold and they make a sport of it like "ice fishing." Why!!! It doesn't have a fireplace, HDTV, and a warm cup of something good it has no place for me

AFter reading these posts we've gone back & forth with postponing our trip until warmer weather. Only time we could come up with was Mid May tho & we've been in mid to late May & it has been brutally hot. When we went in Dec 2002, it was very cold & that was still better than too warm when you are walking all day (IMHO). We are sticking with Jan because it has got to be better than Northeast. AT least they won't have snow & I can leave the kiddies boots at home!!!
