We're planning a trip for January '08 and I am wondering what the temperatures will be like?

We went in September in '05 and I thought it was too hot...my Dsis thought it was perfect :crazy2:

Can you swim in mid January?

Here is a link so you can search past years and see

WE have been in Jan before and we had some nice days but we had a couple that we where glad to have our warm clothes with us (we are from New Hampshire so not being cold tolerant is not the issue) it was cold enough a couple of days to not even want to try the pools.

One day we wore our winter weight jackets and my DD an dDW wore their golves and mittens and were happy they did.

We went two years ago at the end of January/beginning of February and we won't go at that time of year again -- there were too many cool days. If I am in Florida, I want it to be at least in the mid to high 70s. Even with a heated pool, the kids' lips were turning blue after just a half hour and they were shivering. I also really enjoy sitting outside on warm nights, and even when it was warm during the day, it always cooled down at night. Sorry to sound so negative, it just isn't for us, however on the flip side the parks were not extremely busy.

January weather can be hit or miss. I don't think I'd do January again because in January of 2003, we went and had the misfortune of being there during one of the coldest Januarys on record. Temps got down to 19 overnight a couple nights, and we actually ended up buying a few extra items of clothing. We didn't swim the entire stay, but we did notice a few who did, mostly kids. And I'm fairly tolerant of cold being from New England, but February is safer if I'm going to plan for a winter month.

I know it's hit or miss, but we were lucky this January-great weather. We got back from our cruise Jan. 18 and the weather in FL wasn't so nice, and didn't much improve throughout Feb. But Jan. is when we can go, so...we're going next year Jan. 16-24. Hope we're as lucky as we were this year!:cool1:

You just never know.
Jan 07 was beautiful and swam every day (even stayed at a hotel with indoor pool because we wanted to swim, but never used it).
Jan 06 was lovely but could only swim one afternoon the whole week
Jan 05 was beautiful and hung out at the pool every day we were there
Jan 02 was so cold it hit record lows and we had to buy hats, gloves and wear our heavy coats to MGM, then one day was nicer and we wore no coats to AK but it rained, then one day in MK it was nice, just light jackets...you didn't know from day to day :confused3

We went this year Jan. 20th for a week and stayed at CBR. We swam every day and most days except one was wonderful for sitting by the pool in the sun when you weren't swimming. It was perfect. Well personally I like it 90 degrees but it was perfect for the kids and hubby.
Also crowds are SMALL...lots of times we were the only ones on our bus.
Great.

We when the end of January and had to where jeans and sweatshirt every day.

we went the end of Jan and I only wore my sandles twice. My jacket with gloves and very warm shirt on one day. over all it was ok
