hi guys, my boyfriend and i are going to DW dec 30-jan 6, what will the weather be like then? anyone been in january or live in florida...let me know what i will need to pack...long sleeves? sweaters? etc. i am from Baton Rouge so i know how the weather is down here, its hard to pack for a vacation because it can be hot one day and then cold the next...help..i can only bring so much :confused3

We were there last January 20th - 25th. The beginning of our trip it was in the 80's, my kids were swimming in the pool. Towards the end, we were wearing jackets.

Hi, We are from Central Alabama and are going Jan.13-18,2007. I am packing light layers for the day such as short sleeve shirts and light weight jacket and long sleeve shirts with medium weight jackets for evening . The pools will be heated and we take sweats to slip on when we get out. I will take a couple of pairs of shorts but mostly jeans. :confused3

Hi. I am from Baton Rouge, but relocated to North Carolina in June. We were there last year from December 30th-Jan. 9th.

Some advice:

New Years Eve in the MK was amazing. Lots of fun and the most incredible fireworks. But there were more people there than I have ever seen in one place in my life! After the fireworks, we stood in human gridlock on the bridge to Tommorrowland for 35 minutes. The fireworks were at midnight, and when I looked at the clock as I put my head on the pillow, it was 2:43.

If you can, catch the 8:00 p.m. show of the fireworks and watch the midnight from the balconies at the Contemporary.

Weather is good to me, because I'm sick of the heat in B.R.!! My kids and I where capris, leggins or jeans during the day and a long sleeve or short sleeve depending on the weather. We put sweatshirts and/or jackets in a locker up front for when the sun goes down. The lines are sooo nice without heat!!

Even on a sunny day, if the breeze is coming from the North it can be chilly. I would take hats, scarves and gloves for night especially if you will be standing still waiting for fireworks or parades.

I would take clothes for both warm and cold weather. One day last year it was 55 and the next 85, but mostly it is in the 70's with little rain. We will be there from Jan. 15 to 23 '07 and can't wait.

Last year I went to Blizzard Beach and it was only about 68 with 20+ mph winds and was suprisingly comfortable. :)
