weather in early may???

What is the weather generally like in Early May???? were coming from the east coast so were not really used to that whole "dry heat" thing..... so how cool does it really get at night and how hot during the day?? Thanks for any help!

Great question. We will be there from May 1-9 and are also coming from the east coast.

It can be pool weather in the 80s or down in the 60s during the day, it just depends. For me living here I think it is cool at night for us and would plan to bring a hoody for our family. But if you are used to snow and so forth it might seem warm enough at night for you. It has been on the cool side so far this year. We have only been in the pool here 2 times so far and once was after we heated it. Just keep an eye on the forecast. But for us we wouldn't be using the pools at DL that time of year.

I went the end of may last year and it was cold when the sun went down.

I thought it would be cold in oct when we went heck no 90 degrees or more crazy hot and was warm at night.

When we were there that same week in May of 05 it was warm enough to swim during the day. In fact, I remember feeling overheated one day when we were in California Adventure and our son running around in the sprinklers near bugs land. We wore shorts everyday, but we did buy our little guy (22 months) a sweatshirt while we were there so it must have been cool at times. So... I'm expecting shorts weather and to carry around a sweatshirt for each of us just in case!

ETA - not sure about evenings. We were in our rooms early each night due to our little guy.

Expect it to be really beautiful! Definitely shorts wear during the day, but for first thing in the morning and in the evening you would for sure want to bring that warmer sweater to put on. As for swimming... you most likely will be able to during the early to mid afternoon when its the most hot out. I wouldnt recommend it for later on in the evening unless your hotel has an indoor pool.

We were there the first week of May last year. We began the day in jeans & tees with hoodies over them. When it started to warm up, we would take the hoodies off and keep them in the stroller. A few days I wore shorts and was okay through the day.
