Weather in Early March

How do you dress for early March? Shorts or pants, short-sleeves or long sleeve, jacket needed?

What's the weather like?

And is it good enough to do a Water Park?

Hi LeeAnn,

Average highs for early march are in the mid-upper 70s with morning lows averaging in the mid-50s.

BUT.....the weather is still quite changeable in early March. Realistically you could have afternoon high temperatures anywhere between the mid-50s and the mid-80s.

Our last trip was in early March, and we started off each day with either a light jacket or a sweatshirt on, and either jeans or capris. Most afternoons we could wear t-shirts or tanks. I think our weather was in the mid-70's most days, but cool in the evenings/mornings, and one day it poured all day. It was pool weather on a couple of afternoons (low-80's).

For this trip, we're taking a mixture of jeans, shorts, long and short-sleeved shirts, definitely a light jacket. As long as I can wear a t-shirt, I'm happy. I don't like walking around in 80+ weather, anyway!

March-- esp early March-- is very iffy... We went last year 3/5-3/12 and really lucked out! I wore capris and a t shirt everyday, and always had a zippered sweatshirt with me. The mornings and early evenings when the sun when down were chilly. At night I changed into jeans and a sweatshirt. Keep checking accuweather.com as your trip comes closer, and plan on bringing a little of everything. DH wore shorts some days too.

Tinkerbell6-- did you go the same week as me?? We had one day of rain also, and it was really chilly that day... I think it was a Wednesday.
