HI Everyone! It has been a long time since I posted anything however, I have been keeing up to date with most posts. My question is, I am planning a trip in Dec. (3-8). Can anyone fill me in on the "normal" forcast for that time of year?

Weather in Dec. is iffy. In Dec. of 2002 when I was there, it was cold an rainy most of the week I was there. When I was there in Dec. of 2003, it was cold--I wore jeans and a light jacket most of the week. It can get really chilly at night or early morning (in the 30's and 40's). The high can be 50 one day, and 70 the next. Just bring lots of layers. It's never been warm enough for me to swim in Dec.

Was there last year from 12/12-17. And it was cold!! The nights were cold enough that a jacket was nice. The day time temps were about 70 degrees, in the sun. If you were in the shade it was chilly. THe wind was really something. We're going just before you this year. Hoping for better weather. Bring jeans, sweatshirts and maybe even mittens!!

Be prepared for anything. We've made several December trips and have experienced all kinds of weather!:D In December of '93 there was some kind of freakish cold snap and was REALLY cold--I mean highs in the very low 40's or something like that. Then in 2001 it was pretty warm (it must have been because we all have on shorts and t-shirts in our pictures!) In 2002 the days were pleasant (usually shorts and a long sleeve shirt, with a fleece thrown in for early/late in the day) In 2003 it was much cooler. We wore jeans and light jackets most every day. You just never know what you'll get when you book a December trip--but whatever the weather is, it's worth it to see the Christmas Decorations!::yes::

Yes, you can get just about anything in December. We have taken several trips in December and are usually there for 10 - 14 days. During that time, we have had (and this could all be on the same trip!) 40s to 80s. One night last year I was sitting at Fantasmic freezing (and I live in Chicago, so I am use to cold weather). Just be prepared!

The weather when we've been there has been great just warm enough to wear capris and cold enough at night to wear a coat, I picked for every kind of weather cold and hot just to be on the safe side I hope we have good weather again...Hope this helpspirate: princess:

We've gone the first or second week of December the past 6 years. It really varies. 1998, 1999 & 2001 were beautiful, highs around 80, no rain. 2000 was cold, highs in the low 60's most of the week. 2002 & 2003 were a mix, some cold (as low as 50's during the day), some warm (mid 70's). The only real rain we hit was 2002, we had hard rain for 24 hours twice. It's a great time to go though, just be prepared. Last year I brought a light winter coat and gloves, I was glad I had them on a couple nights.

My DH and I go the first or second week of December every year. I always pack many more clothing than what we use because you just never know if it is going to be hot or cold. We have been there some years and it has been high 80's & even low 90's. Two years ago it poured most days (that was a first - it usually doesn't rain then). Other years we needed sweatshirts & jackets. One year we froze at MVMCP. so... it is always a toss up. But we always have lots of fun - even the year it poured and poured and poured. That was our first stay at AKL and we had fun exploring the resort. Have a great trip!!!!! :)
