We will arrive Dec 14th, what should we expect in the weather department? We are from indiana, so we are used to crazy weather so I am prepared for both..:)

FL weather is all over the place in Dec. We have been 3 times in Dec and some days we were in shorts with a light sweater at night and other times we were in our coats because it was 40 degrees with a strong wind. Both of these experiences in the same week! We layered on cold mornings because by afternoon it was 65+ typically. I wish I had more consistent temps to tell you about but rest assured it will not snow. ;). We will be there Dec 6-14th this year. It's our favorite time to go the weather is 100xs better than traveling during warmer months and the world is decorated for Christmas!! Happy travels. :)

So bring shorts, jeans, jackets, hoodies and coats..:) Got it..:thumbsup2

Exactly! You've got it! We went in December the last 5 years. LOVE Disney at the Holidays!!! We have started off the week in shorts day and night, and ended it in coats day and night. You never know what you are going to get- and don't trust the weather forecast. We made that mistake our first trip- the night before multiple weather sources including their local network channels and national weather claimed it was going to be highs between 70-73 all week. Silly me believed that and packed all jeans and thin long sleeved shirts. We got there and they were right for our 1st day, but then there was a heat wave and it was between 80 and 86 for highs all week. Yep- we all had to go shopping.

Agree 100% EXCEPT our friends were there one year (maybe 15-16 years ago) over Christmas and there were snow flurries!
We like Winter at WDW and December-January is pretty much when we go. It can vary sooo much. Don't forget hats and gloves. We take extras of those really cheap one size fits all ones as we ALWAYS loose a few.

Don't forget the gloves. I carry a pair of those stretchy gloves in my coat pocket when going to Disney during the cold months. Especially useful with waiting for the fireworks show or waiting to get on a boat.

I've been to Disney in December around 10 times and I can honestly say the weather is different ever year! Some years its warm and I wear shorts all week (I'm from Maine so above 70 and shorts it is!). Some years its barely gotten into the 50's during the day and is downright cold at night. Keep an eye on the weather and pack accordingly. The weather forecast will at least let you know if you have an unseasonable warm week coming your way or a cold week.

In either case I pack it all, shorts, capris, pants, t shirts, long sleeve shirts and a medium weight jacket (soft shell northface) and hats and mittens. One thing I have noticed is that 40 degrees here in Maine feels much warmer than 40 in florida, I think its the moisture in the air or something.

Good luck and have a great trip!

Check the weather forecast before you go and pack accordingly. Think layers. Then, no matter what it had said, pack two hot weather outfits and two cold weather outfits, as weather can often be a surprise. And you're set!
