Jeans, short sleeve shirts, sweatshirts at times (and at night). I think the average high temp for florida in December is listed at 71. Ave. low is 51. We've also been there when it's been FREEZING!!!
We were there this past December, and it was just perfect. I think it was between 75-80 the days we were there (middle of Dec.) we were in shorts and t-shirts, but then again, we are from Wisconsin. I think that makes a difference, what kind of weather you are used to in December.
Really though, I think capri's would be perfect.
We'll be there December 10 - 16 this year too, so here's hoping that it's nice!
December is all over the map temperature wise. It might get as warm as 80 one day. And then the 50's on another. That seems to be the range. 60's & 70's seem to be more of the norm. Make sure you bundle up at night though. World Showcase on a breezy night in December can be quite chilly!
December is our favorite time to visit WDW. We have been for at least 5 Decembers, and the weather is really all over the place. We've worn shorts one day, then needed a coat and jeans the next. I advise packing for all sorts of weather. Capris would be a good idea though for when it's cooler in the morning but heats up as the day goes on.
Having been there in Dec. 2005 and Dec, 2006, I can tell you take layers. On our Dec. 2005 trip, it was chilly in the mornings. We wore sweatshirts over tees and took them off in the afternoon. It was downright cold at night. We needed heavy coats, scarfs, etc. I packed for the same type of weather for our Dec. 2006 trip. I was packed all wrong. It was very warm everyday, around 85-90, everyday. We never once needed a sweatshirt. We needed shorts and tees. You just never know. Have fun!!!!
Pack it all! We were just there in mid December '06 and went from capris with tees one day to winter jackets, scarves & gloves the next! Don't forget your mittens & jackets - they really make a difference when you're at the end of a long day & you're frozen & tired & cranky!
We were there in December of 05 and had some chilly nights. I remember seeing Fantasmic and it was 48 degrees. I am from Colorado but I am telling you I haven't been that cold in my life, I couldn't wait for the lake to go ablaze and warm me up! We went again this past December and it was around 80 every day. I don't even think we wore jackets most nights and swam every day and night. So as others have said, it really varies. Get some capri's and a new suitcase, you'll probably need both!
This past year we packed for every kind of weather and we wound up buying more shorts and t-shirts. We left 30's and walked out of MCO into a sauna! DH said I had to find the bag with the shorts before we left the airport parking lot. We were not at all prepared for the temps in FL in Dec.
