Weather first week of may?

whats the weather like for the first week of May? Can you be in shorts during the day?

We just returned from WDW and the first week was a bit chilly as it was in the 70's and very windy, but this past week has been in the 80's and hot! We were there in May a few years ago and it was in the 90's and very hot! You will be in shorts probably 95% of the time, day and night!

We always go the first week in May and the temp has always been high 80s/low 90s. shorts and tanktops every day.

I'll be there the beginning of May too and have been wondering about the weather. This week it has been in the 80's so I definately think shorts during the day would be fine.

BUT.... it looks like the weather still drops pretty low in the evenings and I'm wondering what type of clothing we will need for evenings out????

i always bring a pair of jeans/khakis for night time. and a long sleeve shirt for the kids. it can drop into the low 60s at night. plus, the air conditioning in the restaurants makes it even cooler. have fun! maybe i'll see you there.

In the evenings we do shorts and sweat shirts if needed.

I think that all depends on what you feel is warm weather. I live in Iowa and we have such cold winters here, that when the weather gets to be in the 70's we are all running around here in shorts and some are even in tank tops. I think your body just gets used to a certain temp. Now on the other hand in the fall after a hot and humid summer, when the temp gets down to the 70's you start to think it is gettting so cold

We have gone several years now in May and the weather has been just perfect. You can be perfect in shorts and a tank top or shorts and a short sleeve shirt.

I think the weather this year (and last year) has been getting wackier. We had 80 degree days here in NJ this week, and now we are back in the 50's.

Tomorrow the low for FL is 49. That is pretty cool for me. And even a high of 72 while nice, doesn't seem like shorts and tank top weather.

Quite sure you will be mostly in shorts. Bring jackets and a couple pair of pants in case there turns out to be some rain(haha more than the usual daily rain anyway) that will be determining factor in if it is warm.

But my brother went 2 years ago in mid-May and was burned when he got back so I can imagine it was warm. He went to beach too so I'm sure you'll get some shorts in there.

I talked to my dad(who lives there) last weekend and its been shorts weather already so it really depends.

We are heading there soon. Will be checking in Friday and staying thur May 4th. I checked the 10 day forcast and it shows low to mid 80's and sunny all week We all know that will change a million times though. Actually I am looking forward to the cooler weather in Orlando. We were there in Sept and WHEW - it was HOT HOT!!! Low 80's sounds perfect to me. I would pack 1-2 capri's, pair of jeans and a 1-2 long sleeve shirts/sweatshirts. The rest shorts and tshirts.
