Weather early February

We have just booked AKL for Feb4-12. Last time we went 3 years ago I made the mistake of booking during Presidents week, being the bad American I am , I forgot about the holiday as I live in Canada, We had beautiful weather, high 70's - low 80's. I've booked earlier in the month to avoid the Presidents week crowds. I'm aware of Mardi Gras, but hope it won,t be too crowded. Has anyone gone at this time, if so how has the weather been when you've been? I'm hoping we can use the pool at least part of the time. We've put off buying the water park option until just before or when we get there until we know what to expect weather wise. Thanks to all for any input.
