Hi everyone,

We're taking a quick trip to the World in January to see the 1/2 marathon, and was wondering what the weather might be like in January.

I'm guessing it's gonna be chilly, but who knows :confused3. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some sort of warmth (escaping the frigid temps in Philadelphia) :cold:

Any help/tips/opinions/experiences would be greatly appreciated.

The weather in January is completely unpredictable! You could have days near 80 with cool mornings, or you could have mornings near freezing with afternoon highs in the 40s. You'll need to pack a little of everything!

Last January was fabulous - 70s and 80s. However, two years before we went in mid-December, and it was cold and rainy. However, we are going again in January 2006 - and I am sure it will be warmer than Wisconsin in January! :) However, bring layers...

Crowds could be a little heavier due to the marathon. Last year, the crowds were more than we expected, but still manageable. Have a great trip.

It's best to be prepared for anything. I take an extended WDW vacation every January and have seen temps in the 80's :sunny: and at other times, a windchill of 18. :cold: I dress in layers. The weather is unpredictable, as Bob P stated, but it's a great time of year to visit!! :earsgirl:

went swimming several times last year during the week following the marathon. absolutely beautiful. :sunny:

Yup could be 80's or could be freezing and raining. We are hoping for the 80's but no matter we will have fun :goodvibes :sunny:
