We are planning a to visit WDW at the end of September. Does anyone know what the weather is usually like? Also, was wondering about the hours for MK. I have heard they close at 6pm-I've also heard they close at 9pm. I have DD(3) and we need to plan for naps etc.

Thanks!

I went with my Mom in 2002. It was a bit hot and muggy, also rained alot.
Fantasmic was rained out one night after we had waited for over an hour. We did catch it the next night and had a fabulous time sitting next to a wonderful couple from NYC, a firefighter and his wife. I'll never forget that night.

Disney was experimenting with hours at the time and MK was open several nights until 8 pm the week we went. We had a hurricane hit not far from home before we left for WDW and another hit while we were there so we had to stay an extra day as the airport was shut down. Classes at out kids' school were cancelled for two days and my husband had to stay home from work. I was so glad I was at WDW.

Crowds were light. We leisurely went on anything we wanted to. We ate what and when we wanted. Come to think about it, I think being an adult only trip might have made it so leisurely.

Crowds are light in September & the parks close fairly early... EPCOT will be 9pm, AK usually 5 pm, MGM & MK can be anywhere from 6-9pm... I know the Night of Joy is in September & the MK will close early (6pm) for that...
Weather is still hot & muggy, we are still in the rainy season & hurrican season as well.

Now I'm confused!!! Maybe we should plan to go a couple of weeks later. I wanted to go down for my DH birthday (September 20), but maybe I should wait until October. Ahhhhh!!! :confused3

We were just there 9/15 - 9/26/04 & the hours were pretty good.

MK: 9-8 daily, 9-9 on 2 nights for Spectro
MGM: 9-8 daily
Epcot: open til 9 daily
AK: 9-5 daily

Crowds weren't too bad - more crowds on the weekends, probably due to more locals coming down. I think MK was open until 8 everynight in order to show Wishes nightly - it doesn't get dark any sooner than that during September. We will definitely return in September - weather was great (other than the hurricane) we didn't see much rain at all. Only wore the ponchos twice.

I wouldn't worry about the "Night of Joy" - this is usually around the first weekend of September. I think September is a great time to go - low crowds & warm weather. :teeth:

It will be more crowded in October than September, but the weather may be a little bit better than in September.. you cannot predict what the weather will be like this far in advance, but I can tell you by living here, September is a rainy month.....I want to say that Aug & Sept are our worst months with the rains.
