Weather and Crowds- When is best time in May?

Hi Everyone....
If any of you have been to Disneyworld in May, could you please tell me about your experience (with weather and crowds) and when you went exactly.
I want to choose the best time in either late April or early May to go...could you please offer some advice. When really would be better; late April OR early May? We want to go when the crowds are not overly crowded and when the weather is not terribly hot. Thank you so much for your time.

We went last year in May (2nd - 5th). Crowd wise it was great!! It was HOT!!! 90's during the day. HOT!!!

When DS was younger, we always pulled him out of school and went the first week of May for his B-day! (May 1st!)

Now, being from Texas, I thought the Florida weather to be wonderful, and not as much rain, or as hot as June and July!

Crowd wise....it's nice, too!
Just beware of the Star War weekends at the Studios!
that's where the madhouse is!

Early May is my favorite time. It's past all spring breaks and prior to summer school closures, so the crowds are very managable. I've spent a few Mother's Day in WDW, and will again this year. We're heading down May 2-12. Over the years, we've experienced ideal weather and not so ideal. One time it rained and rained and rained, another time not a drop. I've never been in the middle of summer, but I've been in Sept a few times. May is not as hot as Sept, but still can get quite warm. There's just no way to know what the weather will be like.
