Weather and crowds first week of June?

How is the weather and the crowds the first week of June? Wanting to go before CA schools get out but know that there may be field trips there.

I use the park hours as my guide - when park hours increase - DL expects crowds - when hours are shortened (as in off season) DL expects smaller size crowds.
