We would like to request a sub-forum for the Budget board

I enjoy the budget board a LOT more when it includes all the posts that some seem to think are off-topic. This board is where people answer questions from a budgeting viewpoint.

I make major purchases with my vacation in mind. Which dishwasher to buy IS a budgeting for Disney issue to me. So is airfare, credit card rewards, groupon deals, really great sales that week, couponing, tickets, activities, restaurants, hotels... If I want to hear about the best pool I will look on the resort board, if I want to know about a deal, how to pay for it or how to get a reward that helps me get there I look to the budget board.

I've been watching this board for years and I've happily found all those things here. I have no interest in now having to search a dozen boards to find half as much information in five times the time.

You can all still be together posting here and the CB. A lot of people on the BB already post on the CB.

Magic Mom,

The community board is already HUGE, and in my opinion, very difficult to follow. The additional burden of a majority of budget board posts being posted there will only add to the mess, making it that much more difficult to moderate.

Okay, here's the deal.

The Budget Board isn't broken, so we're not going to make any big changes here now. :)

Posts won't be moved to other forums anymore unless they're WAY off topic here. (You know, like the Casey Anthony trial or your favorite sports team, stuff like that.)

Posts about spending money, saving money, personal finance, budget busters, eating out on the cheap, good deals on hotels/cell phones/games/ cars/insurance/groceries/tanning salons/kids' clothes/gas/vacation destinations, anything that deals with consumer issues or questions or lifestyles- that's all BUDGET! You can post it here, or on the Community Board, where ever you're comfortable and want to talk about it or ask for opinions.

And with that, I'm closing this thread.

Back to normal. :thumbsup2
