We won YOMD Mickey ears!

So, our family sent in a bunch of post cards to enter the YOMD sweepstakes. Because it's now 2009 and the promotion is over, we thought we were all losers. However... over the weekend, our DD(11, and in an attempt to seem "cool" has said that she's no longer into Disney ) received a box in the mail from Disney. Inside were a pair of YOMD Mickey ears! We were all so excited! She kind of made fun of us for our reactions.

But, a few hours later, and for the rest of the weekend, she didn't take those ears off! And she started making her "Don't Miss List" of things to do on our next trip!!

That is wonderful, congrats. I sent in enough post cards to buy about 10 pairs of Dream ears and nothing. I was really hoping for a pair for my daughter and I since we collect ears.

It is okay though, I feel blessed even being able to go.

I am so glad that you got dream ears. That is FANTASTIC - and your daughter is now excited about her next trip.

My daughter is 11 and she would never think it is cool to say she was no longer into Disney.

We were at MK over Christmas with three families. Everyone got off Haunted Mansion and my DH and I were behind everyone else. They stopped right in front of us and we were the first to receive ears. Needless to say, the rest of the family was jealous. That is until my sister and her family were chosen to "Open" the Magic Kingdom on 12/28!!!

It's nice to hear that. Congratulations. We also send post cards but we didn't received anything. Well, just keep hoping that in time, we can also received something like that.

I sent postcards in, but nothing here either.
I thought it would be fun to get some ears in the mail before our trip!
My DD would have loved it.
Actually, your post gives me hope that we still may recieve a pair.
I figured since it was 2009, they wouldn't be sending any out anymore.

I, too, believed that all the prizes had been awarded by now. In fact, after sending in 3-4 cards a day for much of a year, stopped sending them in early December. Definitely believed we were done with prizes and the promotion.

You could have knocked me over with a feather when my DH showed me today's mail, including two boxes each with a pair of the original ears, not last years. So, we ended up with a very magical day.
Here's hoping others are still winning prizes.

Huh. We got 2 pairs of ears in 2 different boxes today too. Not the original light blue style (already had some of those) but these are the darker blue color. One pair has 2008 on the back, and other says "Live Your Dreams" on the back. Maybe they're just getting rid of their leftovers.

My DH got a box in the mail today from Disney Parks! I'm sure it's a pair of ears from the postcards...that I sent in!!

I just got back from 5 days at WDW, only to find a box from disney in my mailbox when I got home! We have a lock box at the end of the dirt road that they give you a key to open when you receive packages.

It sure made getting home more enjoyable!

These are dark blue w/white ears, and say "Live Your Dreams" on the back.

Hi everyone, I won 3 extra Mickey ears, does anyone want any? They are royal blue, and says Where Dreams Come True on it, The Year Of A Million dreams. The back of it says Live Your Dream. I already won 1 set so i figured I would spread the magic. First 3 people to reply I will send it to you. I thought they quit giving out prizes for all the postcards last year, I guess they still have alot of Mickey mouse ears.:
