We are going to be in Southern California from May 17-26. We are going to be at Disneyland for three days May 18-20. We are staying at the Candy Cane Inn. We can't wait it's our first visit to Disneyland since 1999 and our first visit to DCA.

Thats great!! You'll get a lot of great info on this BB. Enjoy the planning!!

Sounds like fun!

Hit it really hard on the 18th and 19th. The 20th is a Saturday, and the crowds will explode compared to Thurs and Fri. Don't leave anything for the last day if you can avoid it---use it for repeats of the greatest.

Congrats on the trip, but let me warn you, May 19 is the premiere of Pirates 3. The park will have odd hours, 6:30am - 5pm. Many (including myself) will be lining up to get in around 4am. We will then camp out all day on Main Street waiting for the stars to walk down the red carpet. The rest of the park will be open, but it will be crazy. Much of the Advnetureland/New Orleans Square area will be blocked off because of the bleachers for the movie that night. To compensate, California Adventure will be open late, I'm just not sure of the hours.

Glad the PP told you, the park will close early on the 19 and be very busy with people wanting to see the "stars" on the red carpet!!! Plan accordingly and have fun!

That's what I was gonna say :)

Unless I wanted to see the stars, I would avoid DL on the 19th and make that day a DCA day :goodvibes

I just missed the premiere by a week, we will be arriving on the following Friday for 9 days and I can't wait.

Oh my, you picked the wrong weekend to enjoy Disneyland. They set up a huge movie screen on Tom Sawyer Island and much of the walkway in front of Pirates of the Caribbean ride is filled with bleachers. It is very difficult moving through this area before the Red Carpet event and a few days after (when they take everything down).
But what an adventure!!! ;)
